These type and size of sailboats can be found quite easily. They measure 9″ x 2.5″ x 12″ and come in different hull colors, usually blue or red, and have variations in the sail color or name. This example is NOS. They were produced throughout the 1950’s by Keystone Wood Toys as inexpensive options to their larger sailboats. Ads of the time begin to show younger children playing with these type of boats in backyard pools. Each variation had its own model number and to this point I have not identified them all. A new one pops up every once in a while.

HI,
I’ve just acquired two keystone wood sailboats and am trying to put a value on them. Could you help me? The newspaper they were last wrapped in was dated 1975. They are wood with a metal rudder. I’m happy to take pics for you. All pieces are intact, some in their original wrapping.
Thanks! Holly
Hello Holly,
Send me a couple of photos and the dimensions and I will see what I can do. The newspaper is much newer as Keystone wood toys last year of production was 1957.
