Keystone S-3 Submarine Hull Differences

Here is a few different types of the S-3 U.S. Submarine. They all measure 9″ x 2″ but the sub in the foreground is a quarter inch shorter in height.  The smaller sub is a bit more simplistic in design and was part of the #671 Battle Fleet, the #652 Convoy Fleet and the #527 U.S. Coast Defense Fort that first appeared in the 1942-43 catalog.  The other three subs are the same from the deck up except for the color variation of the conning tower.  The hull of each is different though as the subs go from a flat-sided hull to a tapered hull then to a heavily tapered hull.
