This is a different S-3 sub from the others that are shown in another previous post. It measures 7″ x 2″ and is far simpler and stocky in design. The sub has two torpedo tubes that each have a non-removable torpedo. The hull tapers and the bottom has an inset metal keel. This is the first ship that I have seen with this type of keel. The paint on the sub is well worn but the S-3 U. S. can just be seen. As simple as this sub is I am inclined to thing that it was like a target ship for some yet identified set.
