This is a Chester Toys PT boat that is 11.5″ long and in unplayed with condition. What makes it interesting is that it was produced by Chester Toy Company. Nothing is known about this company and likely 99+% of collectors have never heard of it. Chester Rimmer was a founder of Jacrim Manufacturing and then held various executive positions with Keystone Manufacturing until it closed. Now there has been rumor that Chester starting producing toys after Keystone closed. This little PT boat is circumstantial proof of that rumor! The quality is a far cry from the original Jacrim boats but this is late 1950’s and wooden toys were being replaced by plastic toys.
