This past weekend I stopped into a few of antique shops that I had not been to before. I was surprised to find Keystone ships in a couple of them. In the first I found the S-3 submarine that I posted today and another larger sub that already own. The S-3 had some unique features that I had not seen before and some condition issues but I brought it home. The next shop had a B-15 battleship with paint condition issues and a hull for a tugboat. The price on the battleship was under $30 and it was perfect for parts so it too came home. The tugboat hull was not even worth it for parts. In a third shop I found another B-15 battleship in similar condition to the one I had just bought but missing some parts and a price tag of $95. What a price difference five or so miles down the road makes! What I failed to notice until I got home and was doing a clean up on my new ships was that the B-15 had a cabin variation that I had never seen before. I had been to focused on the price, no way I was leaving it there, and how I could use the parts. So my great value find turned out to be worth much more than just its parts, although I really could use more spare parts. Check out the pictures of both new ships, I posted them just a short while ago.
