This ship measures 17″ x 3.25″ and the submarine is 8″ x 2.25″. The ship has a mousetrap spring in the center. When the correct spot is struck on the hull the upper deck explodes into six pieces. The gun turrets are made of wood with small gauge nails serving as cannon barrels. The box has nice graphics on it but gives no indication of who the manufacturer was or even where it was made. I have always assumed that it was produced in the 1920’s or 1930’s. The overall condition of the toy and the box are exceptional for their age.
